Marc earned his Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training/Exercise Science at Ithaca College in 1997. Following graduation, Marc worked in a variety of settings with athletes of all levels including professional, college, and high school. From 1997-2001, a large portion of his professional career was spent working in sports medicine clinics in New York and central Texas. During that four year period working as an athletic trainer, Marc also became a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. In 2001, Marc went back to graduate school at Gannon University, in Erie, to begin work toward his Masters of Physical Therapy. He graduated with distinction in December 2003. Following graduation, he was presented with a unique opportunity to learn and work at the Ear Institute of Texas, in San Antonio, with some of the best neuro-otologists in the country. During his year at the Ear Institute, he became very skilled at treating and managing vestibular/balance disorders. He has since gone on to work in several other orthopedic/sports clinics. In 2007, Marc earned his board certification as a specialist in orthopedic physical therapy. Based on his philosophy of patient care, Marc is continuously learning new concepts of treating movement disorders. He is now enrolled in a fellowship program through the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT). He also recently completed his Level 2 Medical Certification through the Titleist Performance Institute, a leader in golf fitness & education. Marc currently lives in Elmira with his wife Alyssa (also a physical therapist at St Joseph’s Hospital) and son - Evan. The three of them can typically be found on Sundays in the fall cheering loudly for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Marc believes this philosophy has allowed him to achieve a level of clinical excellence that directly affects the outcomes of his patients. Marc worked closely with his co-founder Chris Jones, PT OCS SCS in developing the Elite Therapy Mission. Chris and Marc are committed to this mission. |
